Services Offered
Comprehensive Eye Examinations
We offer complete eye exams that include tests for eye muscle function, peripheral vision, color vision tests, refraction (determining the prescription for glasses or contacts), eye health examinations including tests for cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, hypertension, and retinal disease.
Contact Lens Fitting
We specialize in fitting all types of contact lenses, including toric contact lenses (for those with astigmatism), bifocal contact lenses, and specialty lenses for corneal diseases such as keratoconus. We have a corneal topographer that allows the precise measurement of the front curvature of the eye to better fit individual variations of the eye.
Post-Operative Care
We work with ophthalmologists in doing follow-up care for both cataract surgery patients and lasik patients.
- Every five seconds one person in the world goes blind. A child goes blind every minute.
- 80% of blindness is avoidable (60% treatable, 20% preventable).
- People over the age of 65 have a 30% chance of developing age-related macular degeneration. It is the leading cause of blindness for those aged 65 and older.
- Blindness is the number one complication of people with diabetes.
- More than 1.1 million Americans are legally blind. An additional 50,000 people lose their sight each year.
- Approximately 2.2 million Americans over 40 years old have glaucoma, yet more than half are unaware they have this disease until their sight is compromised.
Diagnosis and Treatment
We are medically trained to diagnose and treat a variety of eye diseases including infections of the eye, treatment of glaucoma, injuries to the eye, including the removal of foreign bodies, dry eye, allergic eye symptoms, diabetes as it relates to eye health, and a host of other eye related disorders.
Optos
We are one of only a few offices in western Oklahoma to offer the optomap retinal exam. This previously unavailable medical technology assists in viewing the retina to detect early signs of eye disease as well as diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and cancer. This tests takes just minutes to perform and provides a permanent image that can be compared from year to year to detect disease at its earliest. It provides a 200 degree scan of the back of the eye, allowing a full view without dilation.
Products Offered
We have many types of spectacle frames from good quality lower prices to high end designer frames. We offer Coach, Christian Dior, Juicy, Banana Republic, Takumi, Lucky, Columbia, Flexon, Disney, Power Ranger, and many others.
